Resonator Delete H-Pipe On 2015 Mustang V6 With Gibson Mufflers

If your looking to make your Mustang louder, a resonator delete H-pipe will do just that. Back when I bought my last Mustang, a 2015 Guard Metallic V6, it had a Gibson Performance Cat-Back Exhaust on it already. For a while I just left it like that, but really wanted to make is sound like a V8. The more I looked into it the more I realized that there was no way to do that. However, I could take of the resonator and replace it with an H-pipe for a cool deep, raspy sound.

A Resonator delete is a great way to make you mustang louder. I had a full Gibson Cat-Back on there to start so if you have a stock resonator your thinking about taking off it will be even more of a difference than this is. I don’t know how the drone is with other mufflers, but with the Gibson, it’s really only a bother on long highway trips.

You Won’t Regret Getting a Resonator Delete H-Pipe

Getting a resonator delete should take about an hour to an hour and a half. The cheapest and fastest way is to just do a straight though midpipe, but I would recommend going with an X-pipe or an H-pipe. This will improve the sound you get and give you better performance gains. If drone is a concern, I would recommend choosing an H-pipe rather the an X-pipe. You may still get some depending on the mufflers you have, but X-pipes are know to be worse the H-pipes when it comes to drone. To learn more about X-pipes vs H-pipes, click here. I have an X-pipe on my current Mustang GT and don’t get any drone. Click Here to check out the Borla ATAK Exhaust I have.

When you go to an exhaust shop to get a resonator delete H-pipe you can either have them make a midpipe for you, or you can bring one you would like to use. If you have them make one for you, you’ll have to pay them a bit more, but it should be cheaper than buying one. If you would rather play it safe, you can buy a midpipe for them to put on. I had them make an H-pipe for my V6 and it turned out great though.
